Structural Drafter – Colorado

Knott Laboratory is a forensic engineering firm with 40 years of experience partnering with our clients to investigate building failures and deficiencies, design new structures as well as refurbish, restore and retrofit existing structures for modern use. Knott Laboratory Forensic Engineers regularly serve as expert witnesses providing prelitigation and post-litigation consulting, analysis and exhibits for depositions and jury trials.

Job Duties

Overview
Knott Laboratory, LLC is seeking a full-time Structural Drafter for our team in Colorado. The Structural Drafter will work alongside a team of Design and Structural Engineers and other drafting team members in a remote work environment. The successful candidate will have experience in construction, architecture or engineering fields and a demonstrated sense of urgency. The Drafter will manage a diverse project load with distinctive projects, rather than a “copy paste” job task environment. The Design team manages projects for new design and rehabilitation of existing commercial and residential structures.





Qualifications

Qualifications
2+ years Drafting experience, preferred; Technical expertise with Revit and AutoCAD; Ability to multitask and flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities; High sense of urgency and excellent work ethic; Experience in construction, architectural design or structural engineering; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Resident of Colorado, work remotely from anywhere in Colorado

Compensation
Salary Range: $50,000-62,500; Job Type: Full Time; Work Remotely: Yes; Field Work/Project Site Visits: not applicable; Matching 401(k); Company Profit Sharing Plan; Health, Dental and Vision Insurance; Paid Time and Holidays Off; Professional Development Assistance and Tuition Reimbursement up to $5k/year
