Gary W. Markham, P.E.

Mr. Markham was one of the Founders, a Director, and Chief Operating Officer of Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., a World Class Forensic Engineering and Consulting company. He participated in every aspect of building the company from just a few people to over four hundred and with over seventy million dollars in annual revenue. In addition to managing the overall operations of the company, he specialized in consulting on and leading teams of consultants on large and very large engineering and construction claims, property losses, construction accidents, and industrial accidents.

A 1972 mechanical engineering graduate of Texas A&M University with extensive experience in heavy industrial construction and engineering, Mr. Markham's experience includes process plant engineering and maintenance; design/build engineering and construction projects; construction project management; contract maintenance and construction safety. Mr. Markham has provided numerous expert reports and testimony in his areas of competence.

Mr. Markham's areas of expertise include project management and supervision; construction cost estimating; scheduling; subcontract administration; contract maintenance management and construction safety programs. He has been responsible for the design and construction of multi-million dollar industrial facilities such as refineries and oil terminals, specialty chemical plants, newspaper plants, pipelines, compressor stations, wastewater treatment facilities and forest products plants. He has many years experience in the construction and contract maintenance of chemical plants, oil refineries, fertilizer plants, carbon black plants, bulk liquid marine terminals, gas liquefaction and air separation plants, paint and coatings plants, and other manufacturing facilities.

Mr. Markham also is knowledgeable in construction claims preparation and analysis, construction accident investigation and reconstruction, cranes and rigging, industrial accidents and failure analysis. He has served as expert witness in many cases involving large property losses, engineering and construction contract cost disputes, construction safety, contractor responsibilities, crane and rigging accidents, construction machinery, farm equipment and machinery, structural failures, and pipeline fires and explosions.

Mr. Markham grew up in a rural environment in Motley County, Texas. He is knowledgeable in agricultural operations and owns and operates a registered Red Brangus beef cattle operation in Brazoria County, Texas.
