In August 2000, Firestone recalled several popular models of their tires, including the 15” and 16” Wilderness AT tires. The tire treads frequently separated, leading to numerous fatal accidents. After the recall and several related lawsuits, Firestone experienced significant negative attention in the national news.
Knott Laboratory was hired to reconstruct several of these tread separation lawsuits and produced compelling animations, supported by expert witness testimony.
