Transportation Engineering Manger, Collin Hurler, P.E., RSP1 , presented at the Colorado Traffic Safety Summit put on by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Collin’s presentation titled Conflict Points: Design and Investigation provided attendees with an understanding of:

  • what conflict points are
  • how to identify the number of conflict points in any given intersection
  • how new road users such as e-scooters and other forms of micromobility come into play
  • a consideration of conflict points on private property
