Structural Load Testing

When traditional engineering calcs aren't sufficient to prove strength

Structural load testing is used when the true capacity of an existing structure can’t be reliably determined through calculations alone. This is often the case with aging, damaged, or atypical structural systems such as historic wood beams or older truss assemblies. Our engineers apply controlled, real‑world loads and precisely measure structural deflection to evaluate how the system actually performs. Using this measured response, we back‑calculate structural capacity, identify degradation or failure mechanisms, and provide engineers and owners with dependable data to support repair, strengthening, or reuse decisions. Load testing frequently allows structures to be safely retained and upgraded, avoiding unnecessary demolition or costly full replacement.
