With a career built on both law enforcement and forensic investigation, Doug brings a unique combination of investigative expertise, technical rigor, and real-world crash analysis to his work as an Accident Reconstructionist. He spent more than a decade serving in Utah law enforcement, including roles as a Violent Crimes Detective, Motor Officer, Field Training Officer, and Certified Instructor. He investigated serious injury and fatal traffic collisions, led complex criminal investigations, and earned recognition for his leadership and lifesaving actions in the field.

Today, Doug applies established engineering and forensic methodologies to reconstruct motor vehicle, motorcycle, and commercial vehicle collisions, helping attorneys, insurers, and clients understand how and why crashes occurred through detailed analyses, technical reporting, and expert consultation.

Mr. Jacox conducts comprehensive reconstruction of complex motor vehicle, motorcycle, and commercial vehicle collisions using established engineering and forensic methodologies. He applies Northwestern University Center for Public Safety crash investigation principles to determine speed, causation, and liability factors for civil litigation and insurance matters. Mr. Jacox performs scene documentation, evidence collection, and vehicle inspections, and authors detailed technical reports and analyses suitable for use in civil litigation, insurance claims, and expert testimony.
