Expertise in Accident Reconstruction

Mr. Goolsby retired from the Georgia Department of Public Safety, Motor Carrier Compliance Division, where he performed hundreds of investigations and reconstructions of high and lowspeed motor vehicle accidents involving passenger cars, motorcycles, pedestrians, and Commercial Motor Vehicles. While assigned to SCRT, most of Mr. Goolsby’s cases consisted of fatal felony, and/or high-profile cases.

His experience includes the initial on scene investigation and gathering of evidence. His reconstructions necessitate expertise in various accident reconstruction disciplines, including conservation of energy and conservation of momentum analysis to determine the speed of vehicles involved in accidents, occupant kinematics analysis, driver reaction, time and distance relations and analysis.
