Engineering Design

Ms. Porter has assisted with numerous investigations and reconstructions of motor vehicle collisions involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. In addition, Ms. Porter has assisted with investigations pertaining to personal injury and product liability, which often involve analysis of vehicle dynamics and vehicle safety. Frequent aspects of these investigations involve assessing the performance of vehicle crush, steering, suspension, brakes, tires, seatbelts, and airbags. Ms. Porter has assisted in several visibility studies and has been involved in vehicle testing.

Ms. Porter utilizes the latest technologies available in accident reconstruction throughout all analysis stages, from gathering evidence through accident reconstruction. Ms. Porter has experience and training in analysis of crash data from electronic data recorders in passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles, 3D data manipulation and analysis, photogrammetry, accident simulation, and accident reconstruction techniques. Ms. Porter is familiar with safety standards, such as the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
