Knott Laboratory provides forensic engineering and animation, Civil & Structural, and Fire & Explosion Investigation services to reconstruct accidents. Our forensic engineers work directly with our in-house animation department to create state-of-the-art forensic animations for use in court, arbitration, mediation or settlement negotiations. The company is comprised of structural, civil, and mechanical engineers, fire and explosion investigators, visualization experts, accident reconstructionists, and digital media forensics experts. This unique combination of expertise allows us to serve a wide variety of industries, such as, attorneys, insurance companies, contractors, property owners/managers and municipalities. Each project is assigned a team suited to the particular needs of the case and client. We then provides investigation, analysis, animation production, and expert witness testimony.
Areas of Expertise
Knott Laboratory’s experienced staff of engineers work together with our in-house visualizations experts to produce scientifically accurate visualizations which support our engineers in expert witness testimony. Our visualizations successfully pass strict criteria and standards the United States Federal Court system imposes on all exhibits. Our physics-based visual material is not only accepted in court but also plays a powerful role in clearly presenting critical issues and complex concepts to jurors in mediation and settlement negotiations.
